Taxacom: Questions of homonymy of three genus names

If it helps, I found the following via Google Scholar:
World Catalogue Insects Volume 8
Aplotes; Herrich-Schaffer, 1853a: 12 (key), 48. Incorrect original spelling
of Metriotes Herrich-. Schaffer, 1853. As the original author acting as
First ..
Maybe an incorrect original spelling is an available name, maybe it is not,
others will know perhaps.
Buttmoth also states:
"Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Aplotes was established in a key on page
12. On page 48 Herrich-Schäffer replaced Aplotes by Metriotes probably as
he considered the former name to be preoccupied by Aplota Stephens, 1834.
Herrich-Schäffer therefore acted as his own first reviser and Metriotes has
been the name in use ever since. "
In case this is of any assistance,
Regards - Tony
