Taxacom: demystifying gender agreement

Well I already tried to give my thoughts and some information about the International Code of Nomenclature for Algae, Fungi and Plants a few days ago.

To my knowledge, there has never been a proposal in the history of this Code to abandon gender agreement. It doesn't seem to be a big issue in our community.

At the botanical congresses, the next one coming up in 2024 in Madrid, many proposals to amend the Code will be discussed and voted on, among them the proposals how to deal with offensive and inappropriate names. In my view, a much more interesting and challenging issue than gender agreement. I am looking forward to the discussion there.
