Taxacom: Research Associate inquiry

For some time now I have been a research Associate at the McGuire Center
for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity. Despite my extensive publication record
in both fields, the staff voted not to renew my status. This would appear
to be retaliation for my research strongly criticizing the science promoted
by Lep systematists at the Center (no other plausible explanation). This
was actually predicted (anticipated) to some of my colleagues as one would
expect that if researchers ignore contrary views they can hardly be
accepting of researchers with such views (and keeping in mind that some
researchers have publicly called for suppression of competing research
programs).

I don't really need a Research Associate position as I am retired, but it's
nice to have sometimes as a form of institutional validation. If anyone on
this list belongs to an institution that is interested in
supporting researchers through Research Associate positions and not
concerned with a one-party slate (i.e. not requiring researchers to follow
a particular party line in science) I would be pleased to hear from you.

Cheers,

John (unrepentant iconoclast)
