Taxacom: demystifying gender agreement ( was Re: Removals ofoffending scientific names)

Personally, that's not my reason for having issues with it. Yes, English is
my first language but I know 6 languages and 4 more if you include
programming languages. For me it's all about the time it takes to script
for this issue in databases, which is ok if you're just a user of the
database, but a nightmare if you're the programmer. What makes it worse is
all other techs have had no issue moving on from this whereas we seem stuck
in it. To me the issue of absolute correctness of grammar has its place in
society just not in a hard science or its supporting nomenclature.
