For those of you adept and various databases or other resources, I have a
question about 'Goryna'. This has been cited as a junior synonym to Wiseana
(or Oxycanus) that was attributed to Quail, A. 1889. Description of
hepialid larva, - Gorina despecta. Entomologists Record and Journal of
Variation 11: 340-341.
As far as I can see, the article does have the other synonym 'Gorina' , but
not 'Goryna'. Apparently the first attribution was by Nye, I. W. B. &
Fletcher, D.S. (eds.) 1975-91. The generic names of moths of the world.
Vol. 6. British Museum (Natural History), London. (although I don't have a
copy of the page for that name).
If anyone can shed any light on this I would be most interested.
