Taxacom: Calotheca, insect or protozoan, or both?

FYI I previously had Calotheca (the beetle) listed as a subgenus (therefore
synonym at genus level) of Blepharida Chevrolat in Dejean, 1836, following
Joel Hallan's Biology Catalog, however more recently it seems to be
accepted as a separate genus, refer Biondi, M.; Frasca, R.; Grobbelaar, E.;
D'Alessandro, P. (2017). Supraspecific taxonomy of the flea beetle genus
Blepharida Chevrolat, 1836 (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) in the Afrotropical
Region and description of Afroblepharida subgen. nov. Insect Systematics &
Evolution. 48(2): 97-155., available online at

"accepted" status at genus level in IRMNG accordingly. The other former
subgenus of Blepharida, Blepharidella Weise, 1910, is now listed in Biondi
et al. as a synonym of Calotheca.
