The term pre-Linnaen taxonomy can in fact be very intimidating. Of course it depends on the scientific question, but pre-Linnaean taxonomic questions can date back from Dioscorides (1st CE AD). Many of the references in 'Species Plantarum' are actually citing Dioscorides' work. Going through the Linnaeus works will only give you a very small fraction of the nomenclatural wealth especially for the period between mid-16th to mid-18th CE.
A few landmark works though that can be used to extract names are:
Bauhin C. 1596. Φυτοπίναξ. Sebastianum Henricretri: Basiliae.
Bauhin C. 1620. Πρόδρομοs Theatri Botanici. Ioannis Treudeliì: Francofurti ad Moenum.
Bauhin C. 1623. Pinax Theatri Botanici: Basil.
Dodoens R. 1554. Cruydeboeck.
Dodonaeus R. 1568. Florum, et Coronariarum Odorataum Que Nonvillarum Herbarum Historia: Antverpiae.
Dodonaeus R. 1595. Historie of Plants. Edm Bollifant: London.
Dodonaeus R. 1616. Stirpium Historiae: Antwerpiae.
Fuchs L. 1545. Medici, Primi de Stiprium. Johann Bebel: Basileae.
Lobel M. 1576. Plantarum seu stirpium Historia. Plantin: Antverpiae.
Parkison J. 1640. The theater of Plantes. Cotes: London.

Recommend the lecture of Linnaeus "Species plantarum": he extensivly cites them and you find them with the binomial or Linnaean name.
