Hi Michael,

It's been a while since I used it, but my memory is that you would make a
unique area for each of your combined areas. For example, area A+B would
need to be called a new letter, A+C would need to be called a new letter,
etc.... In other words, the input is not a matrix, but a list of taxon +
single area. So, if you had something on Australia and Asia, that would get
a different letter than some taxon that occurs on Australia and South
America. I hope this helps.
