[Taxacom] VII Latin American Mycological Congress, Costa Rica 2011

The VII Latin American Mycological Congress will take place in San Jose, Costa Rica, 18-21 July, 2011 (URL: www.almic.org; contact email: web at almic.org). This Congress takes place every three years and is organized by the Latin American Mycological Association.

The Congress will include pre-congress field workshops on Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, and Myxomycota. In addition, it will have symposia and sessions on taxonomy, phylogeny and diversity of various groups of fungi and fungal-like organisms; barcoding of fungi; chemistry and physiology of fungi; fungal ecology; plant pathogenic fungi; endophytic fungi; fungal conservation; and mycorrhizae; among others.

There will also be one-day to several-day tours during and after the Congress.
