Happens all over I suspect. I was following excellent directions for a plant on a highway through Idaho. Place did not look right at all. A local policeman (I sped up before the 55 mph sign) told me that the new highway was a mile or so away from the old one at that point. One of my tasks as a grad student was to sort through the old highway maps to eliminate the duplicates - same state, same year. As I recall, they did have a year on them.
