[Taxacom] Evolutionary "winning" frogs

Dear All,
       Here's a correction to my previous post.  I was informed offlist
that frogs (at least modern species which have been tested) are very
unlikely to survive a year or more in frozen hibernation.  Estivation is
the more likely explanation for frogs buried for two (or more?) years.
Too bad we don't have any early Paleocene frogs to test for their
tolerance to prolonged estivation or freezing.
