1) If you are going to get the details of 'traditional names' wrong then perhaps it is better to avoid going into detail?
2) It looks a little pessimistic to provide a considerable amount of 'acronym soup' and then to conclude that this proves to lead to stagnation (even after it got the cooperation of the "major providers of nomenclatural data").

I just posted a draft of a book chapter for an upcoming Systematics  
Association volume on my blog. The volume will be called "Descriptive  
Taxonomy: The Foundation of Biodiversity Research" and published by CUP.

Also is the picture really a fox or is it some other kind of dog?
