Discussion on the uniqueness of names tends to emphasize those homonyms
already forbidden in the codes (or similar cases not covered by the
codes, e.g., the roughly ordinal-level Pulmonata in arachnids and in
gastropods) and the cross-code duplications. However, there is another
issue, namely homonyms at different levels. Nuculoidea is a genus of
paleotaxodont bivalves, generally assigned to the superfamily
Nuculoidea. Trochoidea is perhaps even more confusing as it is a
gastropod genus not even closely related to the gastropod superfamily
Trochoidea.
