Four new research scientist positions are open at the Australian Museum.
The fields are listed as "Invertebrate biodiversity researchers", "coral
reef ecosystem researcher" and an "Indo-pacific fish biodiversity
researcher."

We especially encourage systematists engaged in collection-based
research to apply for these positions. The Museum has extensive,
databased zoological collections that are available for research. Plenty
of opportunities are provided to make new collections, especially at our
Lizard Island Research Station on the Great Barrier Reef. Positions are
available for both established workers and those who have recently
completed their PhD's in the last 4 years.

The Australian Museum has one of the best biological libraries in the
country for undertaking such studies. The Australian Museum was
established in 1827 and is Australia's first museum, with unique and
extensive collections of natural science and cultural artefacts. For
more details, please see our website http://www.amonline.net.au

Please forward this message to any of your colleagues who might be
interested or to any other zoological list that you monitor.
Applications Marked ‘Confidential’ should be sent directly to: Human
Resources Officer, Human Resources Unit, Australian Museum, 6 College
St, SYDNEY NSW 2010. Closing Date: Friday 23 May 2008

NB: I am not on the search committe.
