[Taxacom] orchid fungi associates

Dear taxacomers,

I have a question regarding orchid fungal association. 

I culture pelotons from several orchids from the tropics in agar media. I found that the species of fungi grown are not very convincing. They are Biscogniauxia, Hypoxylon, Xylaria, and Pestalotiopsis.

My question: Would that be possible for the fungi to switch from ecto to endo in this case? From four species I got, only Pestalotipsis that is endopytic, but this species associates with trees instead of terrestrial orchids according to information I got.
