[Taxacom] suppression at the edge of evolutionary biology

For the history and philosophy of science buffs on the list I would like
to draw attention to the article "Suppression at the frontiers of
evolutionary biology: Leon Croizat's case" by Carmine Colacino
(Universita' della Basilicata, Viale dell'Ateneo Lucano, Potenza, Italy)
and myself in 2003. The article was a contribution to a symposium and
symposium publication on science and democracy. I have finally produced
a pdf copy of the published article along with an English translation
that can be accessed on the panbiogeography bibliography list

I fully expect that there will be disagreement about the perspective we
present, but the article is about the politics of science - something
over which one expects differences of opinion. The two figures in the
article ran into a production glitch that I did not anticipate. It seems
that with some formats generated from ArcView the symbols get replaced
by $ signs etc. I now know I have to watch that with future
publications.
