[Taxacom] Ferret reintroduction (standoff continues)

Dear All,
      Things were very tense on Wednesday, the day when Logan County had 
threatened to resume poisoning of prairie dogs (this time with a poison that 
is twice as expensive).  But perhaps the presence of a New York Times 
reporter and photographer convinced them to put it off, not to mention a 
letter from Haverfield's lawyer that Logan County might face liability 
issues.  But Haverfield now seems increasingly pessimistic that he will get 
black-footed ferrets introduced onto his land.  Still, the standoff isn't 
over yet.  Anyway, here's a link to yesterday's story in the Hays Daily News 
(and perhaps there will soon be a New York Times article on the standoff as
