Obviously I can only speak of what I know. I appreciate the resource that
Gallica is, but I know it only as a "quick-and-dirty" way to consult
nomencaltural works.
I find it hurtful to look up a page of the Flora brasiliensis, a really
magnificent work, and find such a gray and spotty representation.
So with all due respect, I find Gallica to be very useful, but to me it does
not look a suitable example in digitizing botanical literature
