Is there such an abbreviation??

Michael,
      I doubt that such an abbreviation exists, and if it does, few people
would be acquainted with it.
      Species (singular) is abbreviate "sp." and species (plural) is
abbreviated "spp.", and I don't think the time dimension (past vs. present
or future) has anything to do with either one of them.
