distribution maps

I couldn't agree more with John Grehan about the importance of distribution maps
in systematics papers.  Not only are distribution maps essential to
biogeographic analysis, they provide other useful systematics  information  as
well.  Preparation of these maps is often time consuming but almost always well
worth the effort.
