I wanted you to be aware of these upcoming student study abroad opportunities for our students, and for you to be aware of the funding available for faculty as well. Please distribute the faculty opportunity as you see fit.



There are three options for ICCAE student based on the plus-up funding we received from ODNI, and opportunities for faculty to travel with funding as well.



  1.  The Contemporary Taiwan and South Korea study tour (~3 weeks) for faculty and students from all participating institutions (fully funded, led by Megan Greene and Hyunjin Seo).  Information for students on this program is available online at https://studyabroad.ku.edu/contemporary-taiwan-and-south-korea-historical-context and in the attached flyer.  Information for faculty who would like to apply as a professional development activity is available in the second flyer.
  2.  Scholarships of up to $8,000 (consortium partners) or $5,000 (KU students, only if funding remains) to participate in either the summer Intensive Language program in Taiwan<https://studyabroad.ku.edu/summer-taiwan-chinese-language-program-national-sun-yat-sen-university> or the Summer Language and Academic Courses program in Seoul<https://studyabroad.ku.edu/summer-korea-language-study-or-academic-courses-korea-university>.  This information is available through the Scholarship flyer.



ICCAE students can receive funding for any of the three programs, however for the scholarship program it is available to KU students at a lower dollar amount and only after consortium partner students are awarded.
