In thinking about the proposed "Action Center" concept, we have noted that the natural history museum community has produced consensus plans around many of the same basic concepts going back at least to the 1950s. In the 1970s and 1980s, the Association of Systematics Collections (ASC) produced a series of key reports on the status of the collections and human resources, and plans for the future. Some of these were public online already, but five of them were not available online, so with permission of the Natural Science Collections Alliance (formerly ASC), BHL has made them public.
