There is nothing new going on here. The whole purpose of any /Code/ of nomenclature is to create a parallel reality. If any reader viewing “old literature” had to re-invent the wheel at every occurrence of a name or potential name, chaos would reign.

Any /Code/ of nomenclature governs a separate (nomenclatural) universe,
where this particular occurrence of a ‘name’ is meaningless and to be
ignored, and that particular occurrence of a ‘name’ meets all the
requirements of the relevant /Code/, and formally establishes a
scientific name. The same goes fortypifications and spellings.
