Not often one has the opportunity to make such a boast (sorry, no modesty
here), but four years ago colleagues and I predicted the future
discovery of Phassodes ghost moths on the islands of Vanuatu. Now
corroborated by discovery posted on inaturalist

The prediction was based on a tectonic correlation for the distribution of
Phassodes, as then known. Past experience has shown that this will make no
difference to detractors of panbiogeography as no success will be well
received, no matter what it seems (after all, if one can dismiss Croizat's
successful novel prediction of the composite tectonic structure of the
Americas, one can dismiss anything, even that the Earth is a globe).
