I think this overall topic, initially about the (perceived or actual)
"invisibility" of the contributions of (some) women scientists in the 1950s
and beyond in the presence of more high profile male collaborators, has
probably run its course now (at least as far as Taxacom is concerned),
although I have some additional "matters arising" in my mind in the general
area of the development of scientific thought in the area of continental
drift and plate tectonics which I may take up further with John off list,
if he is agreeable of course. If any other Taxacomers would like to be
included in such a continuation discussion, please drop me a line as per my
email at the start of this message.
