Taxacom: On species diagnoses and DNA-based descriptions in taxonomic practice

Hi everyone,

I sincerely wish that this list would pay more attention to the paper
that Thomas shared a few days ago (as opposed to the ongoing
discussion...). I think that this forum is an ideal venue to convey
some ideas to the ICZN and the paper shared provides a foundation to
discuss more. We are always complaining about the Code(s) but this is
a chance to engage in a fruitful discussion that could hopefully
provide some valuable insight moving forward.

[I hope to provide some comments at a later date, but hopefully others
do it sooner than me].

Have a nice weekend!
Cheers,
Jose
