[Taxacom] Lightbox for specimen digitization

Steve, This topic had a lot of discussion on Herbarium listserve in 2017.  Here's helpful post (I lost taxacom in server switch, so haven't seen replies):

The posted image is of version 1, and for our second imaging station we included a hinged door on the front for photographing pine cones and other items that are bigger than the standard slot for herbarium specimens.  The ruler and color palate are one a raised piece of white plexiglass, so they are always at the top of the frame.  The slot is small enough that light intrusion from the room does not affect the image.

I hope this is useful to other institutions.  We are very happy with the images and the processing speed.

Hi folks. Apparently this item "MK Digital Direct Photo-eBox PLUS 1419 –
Ask for the “NYBG Modified” version" is no longer available. Does anyone
know of a good substitute?
