[Taxacom] Meaning of caputesocis

Hi,

Help please with looking for the meaning of 'esocis' as in caputesocis

It's been used in species names, & rarely in Latin text but I haven't
found the Latin derivation.

De capitis ossei Esocis lucii structura singulari
Nanque nec esocis teneri pectuscula spernam

Proteocephalus esocis, Ichthyotaenia esocis, Ergasilus esocis,
Heterocirrus caputesocis

The last is a name of Saint-Joseph, 1894, and he used 'caput esocis' as 2
words.
