Dear Colleagues,
I hope this email finds you all well.

Please allow me to introduce myself to all of you.

My name is Dr Ahmed El-Banhawy. Currently, I am working as an assistant professor of plant taxonomy and flora at the Botany and Microbiology Department, Faculty of Science, Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt.

I Got a B.Sc. in “plant science” from the Suez Canal University in 1999. Shortly, in the year 2000, I was hired as a biology demonstrator, then as a teaching assistant for six years. In 2006, I got M.Sc. in “flowering plant taxonomy” and was employed as an assistant lecturer until 2012. During these periods, I was in charge as a curator of (SCUI) herbarium in the same department. During 2012/2015, I got a PhD from Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt, through a joint supervision collaboration scheme with Reading University, Reading, UK.

I had worked in Dr Culahm's research group at the University of Reading as an ad-hock PhD student for around two years (2012-2014). During this period, I learned the cutting-edge technology of molecular plant phylogeny, including computational and analytical skills.

In 2018, I Joined Dr Soltis lab as a postdoctoral fellow at the Florida Natural History Museum, University of Florida, Gainsville, Florida, USA. During my stay in Soltis lab, I collaborated with great scientists from around the world for six months. During this time, my computational and analytical skills significantly improved. Later, I managed to publish 11 full journal articles, three conference papers, and five abstracts using my experiences during my stay at both Culahm's and Soltis's labs.

I am writing to you seeking an opportunity as a postdoctoral associate, a faculty member or any other relevant career at a university, a plant science lab, or a research group. I might have some experiences that might help in research, supervision, and teaching.

Finally, I can relocate to any part of the world to join any fantastic research group. Please let me share with you my detailed resume.

Best Regards
Yours Sincerely,
Ahmed EL-Banhawy
