The epithet "alessandri" has the look of a noun
in the genitive. Since it is named after the country's
one time president Alessandri, the correct form of
a noun in the genitive would be "alessandrii", and
this would be a mandatory correction. And indeed,
"alessandrii" can be found in plenty of sources.
Well worth commenting on.
