[Taxacom] Horticultural nomenclature question from wikipedia

Thank you very much John, and thanks to others for replies off-list.

Knowing that there will be a ninth edition soon(ish) is a big help for wikipedia (or "potentially a big help" might be a more accurate statement, since it’s rather a battleground in there). I’ve also been advised in other replies that the ICNCP becomes effective when it is published, so it differs from the ICN/ICBN in that there is no authoritative published list of accepted proposals that should be consulted before that point. In the meantime, anyone with the necessary fortitude can do battle in wikipedia with the eighth edition in hand.
