Fabio,
if you are working on mollusca and keys, take a look on
http://www.android-software.fr/malaco-fr
It is an example of a mobile key as you can freely produce keys from
Xper2 knowledge bases.
An important point is to choose a software with standard import and export formats. Lucid, Xper2 and Xper3 are able to import and export at least in CSV and in SDD (the TDWG standard for descriptive data). On our website, we also propose a webservice to translate DELTA format to SDD format.
Our key generator Ikey+ is a webservice directly connected to Xper3, but also available at
http://www.identificationkey.fr/ if you want to test it.
So there are different freeware solutions, and via import/export formats they are compatible.
Lucid, Xper2, Xper3 and DELTA Intkey are very efficient.
I wish you to find the best solution for you and your partners.
