Dear colleagues,

Following ICZN (1999) Article 79 Chapter 17 (
http://www.nhm.ac.uk/hosted-sites/iczn/code/), a number of rotifer experts
developed a Candidate Part of the List of Available Names for species and
genera of Rotifera from the start of zoological nomenclature to the year
2000.

This mail is to inform you that from 20 December 2015 to 19 December 2016
the period of public commentary of the  revised proposal Candidate Part of
List of Available Names (LAN) for species-group taxa in the phylum Rotifera
begins, while the period of public commentary begins on the Candidate Part
of List of Available Names (LAN) for genus-group taxa in the phylum
Rotifera.

You are all kindly invited to examine the candidate Parts of the List on
http://iczn.org/content/lan-committees or
http://rotifera.hausdernatur.at/Home/RotiferLAN; comments can be sent to to
the Rotifera Committee (rotiferaLAN at gmail.com), or to the Commission
Secretariat (iczn at nhm.ac.uk). Backgroun information on the development of
the list is also available on these sites.
