Dear Drs./Professors/Researchers
I am a Postdoctoral researcher in Kangwon National University, South Korea
since one year and current project that I am handling here is going to end
very shortly. I am writing to inquire about the possibility of a
postdoctoral position in your laboratory.
I have completed my Ph.D. (Plant Science) from Kangwon National University,
Chuncheon, South Korea. During my Ph.D., I have done morphology and
anatomical study of Gymnosperm family Taxaceae and Cephalotaxaceae. Since
Phylogenetic relationship of these two conifer families is matter of
discussion and still not totally resolved. Though there are various
taxonomic assumptions and speculation on the relationship of these closely
related conifer families. I studied leaf and wood structure and also
analyzed many morphological features and came to conclusion that it is
better to unite these two families into single family Taxaceae s.l. During
my PhD and one year Post-Doc I have done many anatomical and morphological
works in relation to plant systematic, some of them are already published
and some are in process of publication. I am very much familiar with
anatomical, light microscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy technique. I
can handle microtome, sliding microtome, and SEM machine very well. And now
I am performing some molecular works as well.
During the course of my graduate work, I have become very interested in
morphology, anatomy and systematic of plants. If you are looking to hire
someone as a post-doctor or researcher in your lab, I would like to assure
you that I will do my best.
.
Sincerely yours,
Balkrishna Ghimire PhD
