Here is the call for a consultation on research data infrastructures in the EU.

We as a community do have to be a successful to assure, that we'll have an adequate infrastructure in the future, we have the resources to build our Name servers, have open access to out publications, have a Bibliography of Life and more.

It is an interesting piece to read to get an idea in which direction our research cyberspace in Europe will move, even without an intention to write proposals.

 

I hope ViBRANT, LifeWatch, BioVel, Pesi, CReATIVE-B, EU-BON, Pro-iBiosphere to name a few or a combination of  will be able to get a share from this cake and build the infrastructure we need for our research, and complement US and other efforts.
