the doi works ... gets you to the abstract OK, but the abstract doesn't tell you much ...

Oh Neal, sorry, but don't worry. That was partly the point of the sarcasm.
I'll test it out later at home, but if you can't get to a free abstract
from a DOI, then the journal probably ought not to be doing it that way.
Obviously more obtuse than I thought.
