I am interested in opinions about the biodiversity database called Linnaeus
II by ETI Bioinformatics (see http://www.eti.uva.nl/products/linnaeus.php).
If you have experience with this database, I am interested in your general
opinions of the data base. In addition:
1. Does Linnaeus II easily serve data on-line (and on-the-fly, not
necessitating a "data dump")?
2. Can it be used from multiple portals simultaneously?
3. It appears that Linneaus II can make on-the-fly maps (a grid map). Can
the data easily be exported (on-the-fly) to GoogleMaps?
4. Can the data readily be dumped to GBIF (that is, does Linnaeus II use
Darwin Core standards)?
Thanks for any assistance that you can provide!
