[Taxacom] Why Taxonom does NOT matter

Hi Bob,
       Well, there were biologists before their were systematic
biologists, and no doubt systematic biologists before there were
Australian systematic biologists.  Looks like a clear case of paraphyly
to me.  And members of any formal "Societies" are almost certainly a
subset of a set of systematic biologists in any country in question.
These are paraphyletic groupings, with larger groups giving rise to
smaller groupings within them.  They are not clades as far as I can
tell.
