yes, I have seen this "propaganda"
I *really* cannot see the point of them capturing a Wikipedia page for a taxon,
and then displaying it as yellow until somebody "validates" it. Meanwhile, the
Wikipedia version can change, so presumably the new version will have to be
captured and "validated" too, and the next new version, ... endless paid work
for somebody! It is very unclear how often they capture a new version ... not
very often, I expect, so, if yoiu wanted outdated Wiki content, see EoL !
With so many errors in their own pages, and so many pages and so few "experts",
I very much doubt that many Wikipedia pages will ever change from being yellow
...
Besides, why Wikipedia and not also Wikispecies? At any rate, I am going to
systematically link all Wikipedia taxon pages to Wikispecies pages, example
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leptomyrmex. Compare the Wikispecies page
(http://species.wikimedia.org/wiki/Leptomyrmex ) with the EoL page
(http://www.eol.org/pages/32639) ...
If anything, it should be Wikispecies/Wikipedia who validates EoL pages!
Stephen
