Finding this all rather tiring, so:
- if you want to educate yourself on GPS use and move beyond the push-a-button-and-write-down-the-number stage, there are a large number of excellent resources on the Web. Garmin and Magellan have some good ones (but Garmin won't disclose their EPE threshold), but the most thorough treatments are in various countries' geodesy and surveying websites.
- when publishing a location, please also publish a realistic uncertainty for that location. If you don't publish an uncertainty, I respectfully suggest that you round off the lat/long with an implied uncertainty appropriate to the error in the positioning.
