Lecturer in Entomology - Lincoln University, Christchurch, New Zealand
The position of Lecturer in Entomology is a newly established opportunity at Lincoln University. As a member of the
permanent academic staff of the University, the appointee will be a member of the Bio-Protection Research Centre
which is a Government funded Centre of Research Excellence hosted by Lincoln University
(www.bioprotection.org.nz<http://www.bioprotection.org.nz>).
The successful appointee must have:
* A PhD in Entomology, plant protection relating to insects, insect ecology, insect molecular ecology or insect
biocontrol
* A commitment to leadership in research and teaching
* A proven record of achievement in research in an entomological discipline as it relates to one or more of
the following areas: ecosystem services, ecology, molecular ecology, pest management, biological control,
bioinformatics and taxonomy
* Evidence of good quality research publications
* Experience in postgraduate supervision
* The ability to establish strong rapport with stakeholder groups who are concerned with sustainable bioprotection
Start date for this position is negotiable.
