[Taxacom] Origin of the name "Hogna", a genus of wolf spiders

Hi Robin,
I couldn't find anything which suggests that this name is
descriptive. Therefore, it is perhaps mostly likely named after a
person. The name Hoegna (Hogna with an umlaut) is both a personal name
and a family name. Perhaps Simon wanted to honor a person or family
that he knew with that first or last name? That would be my best guess.

Hi,
Does anyone know the origin of the genus name
"Hogna"? It is a genus in the family Lycosidae,
the wolf spiders.
