[Taxacom] Origin of the name "Hogna", a genus of wolf spiders

I know this doesn’t help much, but could it possibly be an anagram?

Maybe from "hogchnè" (oγχνη) pear? I must admit I have collected  
them regularly and they did not strike me as overly pear-shaped, but  
who knows.
