[Taxacom] Species Pages - where are the online descriptions?

I see that people are interested to know where the data on a species page comes
from. In the case of the Amanita Studies site edited by Zhu-liang Yang and
yours truly, we used our own research (at times unpublished) in every case that
we could. Rarely collected species from places distant from Kunming and New
Jersey tend to get covered by data based at least in part on the literature
(although we often augment this with our own spore measurements because we find
old spore data in the literature not to be reproducible). Our photos come from
ourselves, our students (in Yang's case), and colleagues around the world who
send us photographs that are verifiably identified (usually accompanied by
exsiccata). We are very appreciative of the many people who help us with
material and information.
We would, of course, like to have feed back from people who take a look at the
site as to how it could better serve the world scientific community.
Very best,
Rod Tulloss
