Hi y'all
Small point, and I haven't read Lamark at all, but I thought he hyoptheised environmentally induced changes could become heriditable. Some years ago when reading an old polemic against Lysenko I was amused by the absolutism with which the possibility of acquired traits being heriditable was denied. In my time, while no Lysenkoites, todays epigeneticists are doing an apprently useful and certainly brisk trade. Beware the strawman.
