Thanks, Robin. James Reveal also informed me of that in an off-list 
message. It is interesting that the ICBN expressly excludes 
suprafamilial taxa from the principle of priority.

Mario,
I do not believe that names above the family level have a
published date for priority.  I believe it is usage, and who is
the present specialist using this or that ordinal name, that
sets the standards for use.
