Yes, indeed, congratulations, Richard!
And then congratulations and thanks to you and your colleagues, Jim, for
continuing to keep this useful list going over such a long period.

Subject: [Taxacom] Happy Anniversary!

Well Taxacom subscribers, we have been through a lot. This bubbling
backchannel of news, announcements and debates is celebrating its 20th
anniversary today!

Brought to life by Dr. Richard Zander, Taxacom began its existence on
the dark and snowy night of January 12, 1987 as a dial-up BBS at the
Buffalo Museum of Science (Buffalo, New York).

In case you have not seen it, Taxacom has been examined sociologically
by Dr. Christine Hine, University of Surrey (UK), although its
participants assuredly defy analysis. Hine's research summary is at:
http://joni.soc.surrey.ac.uk/~scs1ch/taxacom.htm

Congratulations Richard, on planting a seed that just keeps on growing!
