[Taxacom] Petition for guaranteed public access to publicly-funded research results

Taxacom readers [1] who signed the Petition to the European Commission
"Dear Commissioner, Our mission of disseminating knowledge is only half complete 
if the information is not made widely and readily available to society..." [2]
may like to know that on 15 February 2007 the Petition was presented to the 
Commissioner.

But the Commission had published the final version of its "Communication on 
Scientific Information in the Digital Age ..." on 14 February 2007 [3]

Readers may draw their own conclusions.
