Herbarium Cyberinfrastructure Workshop

We are please to announce that there will be a workshop on Herbarium  
Cyberinfrastructre to be held at the Botany 2006 Meetings in Chico,  
CA.  The two-day workshop will be held on 29 and 30 July (Sat and Sun).

July 29th : Imaging workshop
Invited speakers and moderators of discussion:
Reed Beaman (Yale), Chris Frazier (Univ. of New Mexico), Melissa  
Thulig (NYBG), Austin Mast (FSU), Stinger Guala (USDA)

July 30th: How to become a GBIF provider / DiGIR training workshop  
(hands-on session run in a computer lab)
Invited speakers and trainers:
Meredith Lane (GBIF), John Wieczoreck (UC Berkeley), Steve Ginzbarg  
(Univ. of Alabama), John Clark (NBII)

Everyone is welcome to attend.  We have NSF funds to cover travel and  
accomodation for students and minority including women.  Please, let  
us know whether you are interested in attending the workshop.
