Thanks, Paul.  It sounds as if we are left in limbo.  Seems to me that the
meaning of "single gathering" could be clarified without being made
retroactive; I bet there are some types that consist of multiple gatherings,
but that fact was not reported or known; i.e., we just have to accept them at
face value.  That doesn't mean we should continue to allow such practice.
